What martial art most effectively strengthens physical and mental strength, along with self discipline?

I am interested in taking martial arts, but I am looking for certain things to get out of martial arts. So I was wondering, which martial art strengthens physical strength, mental strength, and improves the ability of self discipline/regulation? I am leaning towards Ninjutsu, but am not completely sure right now.|||Japanese Jiu-jitsu I%26#039;d suggest.

Best wishes :)***|||Ninjutsu is a good art. I doubt you know what it%26#039;s really about though. Ninjutsu isn%26#039;t about physical strength, it%26#039;s about efficiency and superior technique. It%26#039;s not a martial art that about making you a better person who%26#039;s respectful or self disciplined. It has no rules or morals. It%26#039;s a combat martial art. It%26#039;s not pretty and it%26#039;s not easy. There are no flashy movements or flying kicks or anything. If you dedicate yourself, it will teach you every aspect of combat. There are no competitions with rule that water it down for safety. The only organization that teaches authentic Ninjutsu is the Bujinkan. If you have any questions about the Bujinkan then feel free to ask me.|||This really isnt a question of what martial art you practice, but what SCHOOL. Every school%26#039;s training methods are different, even within the same lineage, art, etc. I highly recommend you do the following:

1. Research to see what schools are available in your area

2. Visit the school and speak with the master. Most will give you at least 1 free intro class. Take advantage of this.

3. Compare the schools to see which training method/philosophy matches your needs.

Also, if they pressure to sign a contract - LEAVE.

And lastly, I will leave you with this: There are no bad martial arts, only bad martial artists.|||i strong style of karate, for example kyokushinkai (not sure on spelling)

due to the full contact nature of this style physical and mental strength are built rapidly, self discipline is more of a personal journey, you cant find a martial art that will build it for you only aid you along the journey.|||Never go to a school that requires money but a man that requires something in return. This is where you can truly learn martial arts don%26#039;t go to some high class school go to a school like sebukan it is a

ka-ra-te-do style school|||Traditional Muay Thai.

they teach you how to defend your self.

to be respectful and mentally strong

and physically strong|||Muay Thai|||Almost any martial art that is taught properley by some one with real life experience.|||I second what Bushido said. It is not about the tsyle but the person/persons%26#039;s for MMA%26#039;s that are training you.|||Pankration|||I do karate but it all depends in what your looking for i might recommend tang-soo-do that was used by the u.s. air force and even chuck norris or you could try ninjutsu hope this helps..
