Hot can i learn ninjutsu online??????????????????/?

please tell me!!!!!!!!!! I need to know for my lijutsu class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...|||You can%26#039;t.|||Can you learn to be a navy seal by watching Under Siege? Can you ask questions to the movie if you don%26#039;t understand? Can the movie correct your lazy form? I%26#039;m not sure where this all started that you could learn a martial art by watching a video but it%26#039;s ridiculous. The videos that people taking the art get is to compliment what they are learning in class. The teacher showing them first and correcting them as they go is the biggest part of learning the art. Want to learn the art? Go to a dojo and pay the teacher for the time he/she is gonna spend teaching and correcting you. Good luck|||Download an asian martial art movie (jet lee, jackie chan, etc.) and practice those moves with a partner. provided you both have similar attributes.|||don%26#039;t waste your time|||Where can I lean brain surgery online??????

P.S he can use the kage bushin because he did in the episodes|||the shadow clone jutsu because its really helpfull and its awesome

Would getting knocked out help my marital arts training?

Ive been training in Tae Kwon Do and Ninjutsu (Bujinkan) for about 4 years total. I have never been in a street fight and im not the type who starts fights, but ive sparred and grappled alot but ive never been straight up jacked in the face or knocked out. What should i do|||No!!!!!!!!

Getting knocked out wouldn%26#039;t help as it would have a negative effect better to train your mind in positive attitude approach and avoid street situations if you can, but saying that you should try and build a mental toughness attitude just in case, learn from others mistakes not just your own.

Best wishes :)***|||No it wouldn%26#039;t - training hard with good experienced martial artists will help your training.

I%26#039;ve been knocked out 3 times in just over 12 years of training - all three times in competition never in %26quot;class%26quot; or sparring. I can%26#039;t say that getting knocked out helped my martial arts skills in any way. After getting knocked out I could say that I learned something about myself and my drive to keep training to get better, but I can%26#039;t say getting knocked out helped my skills at all.|||As weird as it sounds, one of the black belts in my Bujinkan dojo believes that everyone should get a good hard punch straight in the face at least once. This way, they will realize that it%26#039;s not that bad and that they can fight through it. This will reduce their fear of being hit in the face. So, it would probably help your training a good bit. You don%26#039;t have to be knocked out, but a good solid punch to the face.|||Give it time. I was in Karate for 12 years before I recieved my first knock out. It wasn%26#039;t bad and the pain set in hours later...but keep in mind each time the human head is knocked out you risk a serious injury...including brain damage. Getting knocked out intentionally is only for morons who train for the wrong reasons and think it is cool to brag about it.

I have a friend who has trained and fought in the Sabaki / Eishin Karate system for 29 years. He has never been knocked out yet and he does not want to be. This is a full contact system for those people who have never heard about. In real martial arts if you knockout a student or fellow class member you should feel bad...not good about it as he says...but in competition it happens.

I would recommend you just keep training and if it happens, it happens. If not good for you.|||I agree with one of the others here in that getting your bell rung gives you a better idea of how your body and mind will respond some. I have only been knocked out once and that was when I was sixteen and a guy sucker punched me and broke my nose. That experience and a few others where I was wobbled when fighting gave me the confidence and knowledge to better be able to fight through such things and keep my focus better I think. Sometimes a person who has never been hit hard does not react so well to it since they don%26#039;t have any experience with this and they sometimes fool themselves into thinking that they are hurt more than they really are.

I don%26#039;t think you should purposely try to get knocked out as this experience with will come with time and fighting if you compete or step into the ring. I have been hit as hard in tournaments as in full contact so it will come if you compete any amount.|||getting knocked out will not improve your skills... unless maybe you have a seriously bad fear of getting knocked out and panic when in range of your opponents strikes, in which case maybe you%26#039;d find there isn%26#039;t as much to fear as you thought.

Maybe you should spar with boxing gloves and head gear on so that you can strike each other in the head with more force to get used to getting knocked around harder. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend intentionally getting knocked out tho.|||No. It wouldn%26#039;t help you at all. It would also make you more suseptable to future knockouts.

A KO is a concussion. It can be serious. There was a guy convicted of involuntary manslaughter for a single punch. He punched a guy outside of a bar, with a jab no less, it was icy out, the guy was KO%26#039;d standing up, and hit the ground face first. His friends helped him up and took him home, but his skull had cracked and he had internal bleeding in his brain and never woke up the next day.

Don%26#039;t screw around with it. Sparring is good, trying to get KO%26#039;d is stupid.

If it happens, it happens. But it won%26#039;t make you better.

James|||really don%26#039;t get ko%26#039;d on purpose because then you%26#039;re expecting it and your body reacts different, u teach ur body to flinch instead of react.

the best thing to do is actually put ur gear on and spar off with a decently experienced guy with strong standup and watch what he does and let your body do the learning.|||Getting rocked would help in the sense that you would know what it feels like. Sometimes you can get through getting your bell rung a little bit and recover. Knowing how your body would react to getting rocked would help.|||look at chute box academy , these guys are nuts

and knock each other cold all the time , i guess

Genjutsu, ninjutsu, and taijutsu. ?

difference how they work wahts the result are they legal according to religious pint of view what r the tricks

|||ninjitsu is like the art ninjas used to practice i know that, and they had different ranks of which you ascended until you reached the rank of shinobi.|||Genjutsu: Naruto crap, not for real life

Ninjutsu: A japanese art that trains in strategy, tactics, and guerilla warfare. Yes, it%26#039;s legal to train in it, and moral if done with reasonable motivations (as a ninjutsu teacher what good reasons are to study ninjutsu, and he%26#039;ll tell you if you don%26#039;t know)

Taijutsu: One of the 18 disciplines in ninjutsu that focuses on unarmed combat.

As for what are the %26quot;tricks%26quot;, you should join a ninjutsu school and find out for yourself, or if you just want a brief survey, you can look up ChosonNinja on youtube, as he demonstrates a bunch of techniques.|||I think you might want to separate what%26#039;s on Naruto from reality.

Genjutsu (roughly Illusion Skills) -- As far as I know, there%26#039;s no such thing. Granted, many ninja knew little tricks (Things like tying a sword to their face and pulling it out, or putting a frog to sleep), and there are some techniques that deal in controlling an opponent with your intent (Saiminjutsu).

Ninjutsu (roughly Espionage or Enduring Skills) -- The skills for ninjutsu include infiltration techniques; creation of poisons, medicines, and foods; building fortresses; intonjutsu (hiding skills); etc. Yes, ninja could use these skills to assassinate others, but the physical techniques would come from the next section.

Taijutsu (Body Skills) -- Something needs to be understood here... Everyone has taijutsu. The baker, the prostitute, the mother, the World of Warcraft player who never leaves his house... The ninja had their own as well, usually referred to as Ninpo Taijutsu. This is not entirely distinct from the warrior%26#039;s Budo Taijutsu. It deals with the physical body work involved in performing the requirements of the job. Whereas ninjutsu dealt more with the use of the environment (for example, knowing when and where to move to step silently), taijutsu deals more with the physical aspects (the technique to actually step).

The ninja themselves were a counterculture, often in direct opposition to the ruling class. For them, no, it wasn%26#039;t legal for them to be ninja. It didn%26#039;t much concern them. It was something they had to do. Nowadays, what%26#039;s taught through the Bujinkan, Genbukan, and Jinenkan is legal.

I have no clue what you%26#039;re talking about in reference to a religious point of view. What does religion have to do with any of this.

As for what the tricks are, you%26#039;ll have to find a teacher and train.|||Well Ninjutsu is a real art not alot of sneaking around and stuff anymore. You should let TV be TV and real life be real. The easy way to learn Ninjutsu is take a class or 2 you can look at a number of sites to guide you. I would recommend

Naruto: What is a "Space-Time Ninjutsu" ????? What does it do? Who can Perform it??

Can you list who can?|||A Space-Time Ninjutsu is, to explain a little, a jutsu that warps the space and time.... (what the hell I%26#039;m saying, I need to explain).

If we go from Point A to Point B, it normally takes an amount of time via normal traveling method (transport, walking, whatever...) like this:

A -------------------------- B

...........time -%26gt;

But using the time-space ninjutsu, it warps the space between A and B so the amount of time needed is cut to minimum or zero. Like this:

------A,..,B

-------%26#039;.....%26#039;- -------%26lt;=== I can%26#039;t draw XD Supposed

------%26#039;-__ -%26#039; -----------------to be a circle

.... -%26gt; time %26lt;-

This is perfect for those who want to reach a far place in a very short time. This is the same as Goku%26#039;s (Dragon Ball, anyone?) Instantaneous Teleportation.

In Naruto, only two people can use this technique. One is the famous Konoha%26#039;s Yellow Flash Yondaime Hokage, who uses a medium for his teleportation (his specially-inscribed kunais); and another is *spoiler*Tobi, a.k.a. Uchiha Madara */spoiler*. This guy doesn%26#039;t need any medium at all.|||Its a jutsu that the 4th Hokage had created and can used. So,far he has been known for the only one who can use it. He would use a special kunai that he had made, with a seal around it because of this seal Minato was able to transport himself, where ever the kunai was, because of this he would pretty much just transport to that are,so it was basically defy time itself. It was first seen in the Kakashi arc.

The technique has been called Hiraishin no Jutsu - Flying Thunder God Technique.

Character Use: Yondaime Hokage

Rank: S

Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)

Type: Supplementary

Hiraishin no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique utilized by the Fourth Hokage. The technique gave Yondaime his nickname %26quot;Konoha%26#039;s Yellow Flash,%26quot; due to his bright yellow hair and his ability to traverse great distances in the blink of an eye. A space-time jutsu like Kuchiyose, Yondaime first needs to mark his destination with a shiki (rite) first, he can then activate the jutsu to come to the mark. He can apply this to a weapon such as a kunai, and when thrown or used, he can instantly travel to it. He can also apply the mark to a touched area, such as his opponent or some other surrounding feature. No matter where the opponent goes, Yondaime can travel to the mark to kill them

Ninjutsu,Karate,Boxing.?

What would you rely on to save your life or do you have your own style ,pray tell I may become your student .|||Boxing as I%26#039;m not a fan of the other two.|||The best of each style and combine them and apply to real world situations!

Krav Maga|||Boxing. Thats the only stand up style that trains as it fights. Martial arts schools don%26#039;t train as they fight. The sparring is just touching, and the exercise isn%26#039;t very strenuous. Training to be a boxer is the way to go in terms of training and being in shape.|||I use kajukenbo, it works the best for me.|||Boxing|||Ninjitsu is good to take up because its a hybrid martial art just like jujitsu, but it doesn%26#039;t focus on the punching, and kicking aspects of traditional martial arts, it focuses on ground techniques, joint locks/manipulation, striking, and pressure point strikes. now if you wanna learn how to defend yourself in a close-quarters situations, then go with Krav Maga|||Brazilian Ju Jitsu.|||Well, there%26#039;s a lot of different types of karate that focus on different things. What kind of martial arts do Navy Seals Practice?

I personally take ninjutsu, and one of the students told me that the Navy Seals use ninjutsu to defend themselves (not necessarily trained in the whole art of ninjutsu, but use techniques from it). I know they probably take various things from different arts, but I just want to know if ninjutsu is effective enough to be used in special combat.|||S.C.A.R.S. or Special Combat Aggressive Reactionary Systems is a mixed martial arts fighting system created by Jerry L. Peterson, based in part on his background in San Soo kung fu and from his personal experiences in the Vietnam War.

Currently marketed through private seminars and videotape, a version is also taught to prospective U.S. Navy SEALs. Initial presentation of SCARS to the Department of the Navy in 1988 led to its adoption into military use. From 1989-94 Mr. Peterson personally headed up the development and training of the SCARS programs as part of a BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL) candidate course.

Though there is little differance between the military and the publicly available training course; no military approved SCARS instructor can teach the SCARS program outside of the military.

Criticisms

With in the martial arts community, Peterson and SCARS have been subject to no small amount controversey, having been variously accused of being unreliable, unrealistic, a hodgepodge, or simply a stripped-down version of San Soo. Accusations have also been leveled at Peterson about sensationalistic and misleading advertising about SCARS, often involving how widely the system is and has been taught in the Navy. Yet there are many who defend Peterson and his system.|||Having had experiences with former Seals, I can tell you that they use techniques from a variety of martial arts including both Japaness and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Judo, western boxing, wrestling, and a number of slose quarter combat techniques based on those as other martial arts styles (Kung Fu, TKD and one or two others.) The aresnal they are taught depends on where they are statined. Some trainers use more techniuea from styles than others, or at least they did from what those former members I had contact with explained after our training sessions. So it is likely that things have changed since I haven%26#039;t had any contact with anyone associated with them that was in after 1985. But none of the ones I worked with ever mentioned %26quot;ninjitsu%26quot;.|||They probably use Bullshitsu and use whatever the hell is best to defend themselves haha... They are all trained to defend themselves physically and technical mode which is the use of guns. SEALs never operate alone, only in pairs or in a team of 8 max. Now if one is being attacked and has to fight to ward off an attacker, don%26#039;t you think the other buddies will help provide the firepower to take care of business quicker? All of them are trained in the third phase of BUD/S training hand to hand combat but there is no particular form of martial art that is taught. Assuming that %26quot;almost all%26quot; forms of martial arts is based on the same idea which is to self protect ones own body physically and mentally, whether it be karate, kung-fu, tae kwon do, jujitsu, your ninjutsu, yoga/pelates haha, k1 kick boxing techiniques, or ultimate whoop/kick your *** without giving a **** what form of martial arts your using the US military does not have a preference. I %26#039;m not here to brag but all forms of self defense practices all seem to be the same to me kick, punch, slap, block, jump, twist, flip, grab, ect... They%26#039;ll do whatever the hell it takes to bring down the son of a ***** and the ultimate form of take down is from a little piece of lead that packs a punch traveling near or more than 330 ft. per second: a bullet. Just my 2 cents :)|||I dont think they take any other than a hype there tuff there basic training is not enough. I usaly get along with them but once I came across a meat eater he was to easly put down lousy training.|||ninjutsu? Ok... I would leave that instructor if i was you. It%26#039;s a dead art. It don%26#039;t really exist anymore.

Navy Seals use CQC (Close Quarter Combat). CQC DON%26#039;T have any ninjutsu involve. CQC is a very simple and straightforward and in your face fight style, often with knife and pistol CQC is basically jiu jutsu, judo, and boxing. Over year few styles such as brazilian jiu jutsu, Muay Thai, Kyokushin karate, shotokan karate, and other styles has been added to the arnsel. However trust me they doesn%26#039;t take it seriously. They perfer to shoot you in the chest twice instead of trying to be some fantsany super hero. Those guys don%26#039;t fvck around so they%26#039;re not gonna to bother with martial arts in most case, let lone a dead art.|||I am not sure. I was alway under the impression they took a little of everything and made them more effective fighting. Most martial arts have their good and bad moves, so maybe they took the best of them all ?|||Gun fighting...|||If they had no guns and ammo, they would call for extraction.

Ninjitsu is not something that is taught by legitimate teachers. It is total bs. frauds like Aishida Kim would want you to believe it is real but it is crap.

There are schools that teach legit techniqes that claim it is ninjitsu but it really is not. They are merely using ninjitsu as a marketing tool. But the vast majority of schools that claim to teach ninjitsu teach crap and are just LARPing (Live Action Role Playing).

If you really want to learn the skills that ninja supposedly had and used. I suggest you join the army and go to sniper school. It%26#039;s a dead art. All those that claim to teach a such thing are either a fraud or teach only samurai martial arts.

There%26#039;s no real evidence of taijitsu (Ninjutsu hands to hands combat) exist. If you study the history you will see that they mostly use some kind of jiu jitsu combine with other art. So this most likely mean they don%26#039;t really know how to fight well because they don%26#039;t spend their whole life training for hands to hands combat. They spend more time train on how to spy, carry out espionage business, assassin, and other things.

If you want to do those stuff, military are the way to go.|||Please do not seek a style when you are considering training. You would do yourself a favor if you look for a good place to train instead of a style to train in.

The quality and frequency of your training far outweigh your style of training.

Well Ninjutsu is a real art not alot of sneaking around and stuff anymore. You should let TV be TV and real life be real. The easy way to learn Ninjutsu is take a class or 2 you can look at a number of sites to guide you. I would recommend

http://www.ninjutsu.com/home.shtml which is Hatsumi the current Soke

http://www.skhquest.com/ which is Hayes american Pioneer

Both of these sites have Long Distance programs with DVD%26#039;s and such . I personally like The Toshindo by Hayes as he is my current teacher.

Genjutsu: Doesn%26#039;t exist. May be related to some minor illusions performed by ninja as entertainers or the like. Things like bringing frogs back to life or putting them to sleep, tying katana to their faces and pulling them out without bleeding, etc.

Ninjutsu: Technically, these are just techniques in espionage AND survival, but not so much the physical aspect as the knowledge required to perform them. May also include knowledge of poisons, medicines, and food.

If you want to learn ninpo, go to Japan. That%26#039;s how Doron Navon and Stephen Hayes did it, and countless others too. But you%26#039;ll only be disappointed if you think you know what you%26#039;ll learn.

And finally, a couple comments about other posters. ninjutsu.com is the American Bujinkan Dojo%26#039;s website, and, while part of the Bujinkan, is not exactly Soke%26#039;s website. That would be Bujinkan.com. There are two other groups teaching ninpo called the Genbukan and Jinenkan, and some derivatives including Toshindo (Stephen Hayes%26#039; SKHQuest dojo). And finally, Medical Ninjutsu... While not exactly a %26quot;hold hand over body until their wounds heal%26quot; type thing, there%26#039;s a set of scrolls in something called Amatsu Tatara which has some incredible healing techniques, much like Qi Gong. I%26#039;m not one for the whole %26quot;secret energy of the universe%26quot; garbage, but the stuff I%26#039;ve learned works great for minor injuries (sprains, twists, spasms, etc).|||Let me tell you something,I%26#039;m Naruto%26#039;s biggest fan,I know this as a fact, the ninjutsu genjutsu and taijutsu and medical ninjutsu are fake,BUT i know a really good ONLINE MMORPG Naruto game website is:

Hope this helps!|||Ninjutsu has regressed to a martial art. A powerful one none the less. Before the modernization of Ninjutsu it was a pure art of assassination.

It was not all sword play as it is in the movies, they used daggers, throwing stars tipped in Poison. They were the masters of Poison, hiding and using various weapons to kill their target and escape. They were not stand up fighters, they would do whatever it would take to kill the target and get out. I said they were not stand up but they were very skilled at what they did. |||Brief summary, Ninjutsu is an art with many paths of knowledge and skill and NOT martial art!

For an in depth explanation, see below:

In the past during the feudal wars there were master less samurai (Ronin) that traveled in Nihon (Japan) and were known to hire themselves as bodyguards, assassins and more. They were sometimes by mistake misunderstood as being a Ninja from a local clan. Truth be told. Back in the old days people were not allowed to carry swords or any weapon for that matter unless it was apart of there required tools of trade. The same was for fighting styles. Only the Bushi Class was taught the arts of war. The Ninja however were not trained in that way. They were once farmers and simple village people mostly from the high regions of Japan. It was there that they were already skilled in the arts of hunting being they could trap and hide themselves well in their surroundings. They were also skilled in silent walking as well for this same purpose. The arts they learned that were considered combat arts were not in any way a Japanese art. It was originally from China. It was for this reason and more that they were so unknown and feared in their fighting skills. This fighting art compiled with the skills they were already fluent in was what was to be known as Ninjutsu. As for the Ju Jutsu connection to Ninjutsu. There is none. The only reason this is questioned is for the Ronin misconception and people that have tried to pass their martial skills to be Ninjutsu.

Way back in the old days before the Do disciplines were formed there were only jutsu terms in the arts. Ninjutsu was the same way. There was only Ninjutsu. Then the time came that the arts started changing in code and structure especially in the Bushi class (Samurai) Arts like Kenjutsu were changed to Kendo, Yari Jutsu was Yarido. Ninja however as we know were not Bushi Class. There were the lower class and not even considered by many to be warriors much less honorable to some points of view. However the Bushi stated that the arts should be reformed to a training style than and War/Fighting art. Ninja however did not follow bushido or any other form that the Samurai followed. Ninja had trained in their chosen arts for many years prior to the change in code and did not see why the change should affect how they lived and trained. So the art stayed in its original form and structure. Some say it鈥檚 the training art of Ninjutsu. Well OK lets look at that for a minute. The training art Ninpo/ Nindo. When did the Ninja start following the Samurai code? I don鈥檛 remember seeing in history the part that states that the Ninja were Bushi or followers of the class rules. So why the change in name. And the second one. Ninpo is said by some that it鈥檚 the higher art of Ninjutsu. Whets the higher art and who teaches it. Most of the people that talk of Ninpo as being the higher art have know idea what it means. They say it鈥檚 a spiritual art of the Ninja. But when asked what is the Kuji they have no idea. I can go on and on with this one. But to keep it short there is no high art called Ninpo or Nindo. Just someone trying to claim they are someone they are not. Just for reference let me ask. What is the higher art of Karate? Answer none. The art itself is what it is. People need to take what it there and respect history and its teachings and not change it to promote themselves to some money filled high degree. Ninjutsu has many arts in it that makes up one complete art. Body Mind Spirit. Ninjutsu is an art that has many paths of knowledge and skill...

As explained by Yo Sato, head Soke of the Sato Ryu Ninjutsu School in Grand Junction, Colorado|||Ninjas are glorified in Hollywood movies. In reality, they were weaker than the Samurai. The Samurai were true warriors. They were bigger, stronger, had better weapons, armor, training, etc. basically superior fighters in every way.

The ninja was a direct result of weakness. Instead of fighting head on, they would camouflage themselves, sneak around at night, and assassinate enemy warlords and other important figures, since they%26#039;d lose on the battlefields. The weapons they used were short dagger-like blades, long enough only to assassinate someone effectively, but not long enough to actually sword fight with. Ninja stars were another silent killing weapon they used, where they could fight from a distance and run away.

They weren%26#039;t the super sweet warriors you see killing 20 people at once in the movies.|||Originally, a %26quot;ninja%26quot; was just an EXTREMELY good Bushi who could get in, assassinate his target, and get out either unseen, or killing everyone who saw him. Now they have schools that teach %26quot;some%26quot; of the various techniques they used.|||Ninjutsu or Ninpo is a form of martial arts that was used by ninjas. Which martial art do modern Assassins and Killers use?

I am sure its not ninjutsu. You will also learn how to climb fences, up and down, and

also use acrobatics to do things as double-leg chokes from a front flip to choke your enemy.

|||1) The term %26quot;Ninjutsu%26quot; is a modern phrase crated by Japanese media. From a historical/feudal Japan point of view: the term was non existent. And if you asked about one, they would look at you funny and call you crazy.

2) The name we know as Ninja, were the shinobi class of military samurai. They learned the same combat techniques as samurai, however the samurai, just like the archers, has their department. They were the spies/scouts/assassins. They were our modern day 007%26#039;s. They 99% of the time did not run around in all black outfits with shiny metal headbands that would reflect so much like they would be killed instantly. They usually dressed up as peasants or members of court in order to REALLY blend in, not look cool.

3) They had NO special powers, or abilities. They were regular humans just like you or me, who were so WELL trained and physically fit that to the average peasant and such, they seem to have super/magical powers wince they couldn鈥檛 understand how they could move silently and move so swiftly. They went so far as to play up on their mythology with the whole smoke %26amp; mirrors thing (with things like smoke balls, etc).

4) Your best chance at finding that kind of training is with a old school Nihongo Jujutsu, one that still trains in the feudal warfare techniques. If they do, you%26#039;ll recognize by the fact that it won鈥檛 be openly commercial and VERY traditional. So good luck finding it outside Japan.

Which martial art is most preffered for small people ninjutsu, bushido, or shaolin kung fu ? ur opinions?

i want to learn shaolin kung fu since its the most accessable art cuz ninjutsu and bushido there are few schools on that style of martial arts|||Bushido is a code of conduct and way of life and a lot more (hard to explain), It is not a martial art.

Ninjutsu is an awesome martial art IF you can find a good instructor. It is littered with McDojos!

The problem with Shaolin Kung Fu is has basically become nothing more than Wushu performance arts that have very little to do with actually defending you self.

Each style has great stuff to offer. I suggest trying some schools out and see what you think. On the other end of the internet we can not tell you what is a good school and what is not. So look for a school that you like and can get along with the people there. Look for an instructor that is more interested in your well being and not his wallet.

There are a lot of claims to teach it that are utter bullshit, and then there%26#039;s the Bujinkan, who have enough evidence behind their claims to be the only people who can claim even a %26quot;maybe%26quot; in terms of teaching ninjutsu. It is, in theory, an organization that teaches an amalgamation of nine martial arts, two of which are historical ninja schools. By their own admission, one of these de-emphasizes unarmed martial arts technique, and the other is not something that%26#039;s taught by the style%26#039;s founder any more.

In short, Ninjutsu is almost certainly dead.

Bushido is not a martial art at all, but a term for Japanese martial philosophy.

Shaolin Kung Fu has many of the same problems as Ninjutsu, compounded by the fact that records on precisely who taught who and what schools and subschools survived are substantially poorer in China than they are in Japan. Nobody%26#039;s quite sure what the story is there: what%26#039;s certain is that what is presently being taught at the Shaolin Temple is *not* traditional Shaolin kung fu, but a smattering of Shaolin conditioning exercises coupled with contemporary wushu, which is a different beast altogether than anything recognizable as a traditional Chinese martial art.

To summarize: a small person would be totally unable to train in two of the three things you mentioned, and would be fantastically lucky to be able to train in the third. :-)|||Jeet Kune doo or eskrima|||Is Bushido a martial art? I thought it was a samurai code of conduct. As for ninjutsu vs kung fu, it depends. Many arts are adaptable to most body types. That said, if you join a ninjutsu dojo full of 6 ft army guys, you will have a very different idea of whether it%26#039;s good for small people than if you join a dojo in Japan.

Ideally, I%26#039;ve found that you may want to find an instructor that is close to your body type, or who understands that some techniques work differently if you are short vs if you are tall and can give you appropriate advice.

Ninjutsu is a Japanese art, and many of the techniques can be made to work for someone of a tall or short stature. Kung Fu is also adaptable this way. I suppose my point is that whichever art you choose, find a good school with a good instructor. Once you develop your skills, you will discover ways to adapt the art to your strengths.

add: Okay, same thing if you%26#039;re thin. Neither art is about physical strength. I personally think Kung Fu looks cooler, but Taijutsu is more mentally challenging. It%26#039;s a personal preference. They both use weapons, but they are not the same weapons. The both have strikes, blocks, and kicks, but vary greatly as well. Looking for Ninjutsu resource?

q|||The practice of Ninjutsu is becoming more wide spread. I%26#039;ve noticed a lot of books which have come out.

I would try authors such as: Bud Malstrom, Jack Hoban, Steven K. Hayes, and Masaki Hatsumi has a lot of books out now. I%26#039;m sure you can find a local school teaching Ninjutu, or Ninpo taijutsu.

How do you tie the pants of a Shinobi Shozoku?

I have had my Ninjutsu uniform for almost a year now, but I can%26#039;t figure out if there is a special way to tie the pants. I%26#039;m just taking the long strings and tying them around twice so they end up in the front, and the shorter strings over them. Is there a better way? Cuz that don%26#039;t look right to me. Thanks.|||The Shinobi shozoku is a type of dark-coloured keikogi clothing, traditionally worn by practitioners of the Japanese martial art of ninjutsu.

It is made up of split-toed tabi boots (%26quot;jika-tabi%26quot;) and socks; special trousers with double-ties which fasten at the ankles, knees and waist; a jacket with overlapping lapels which is tucked into the trousers; protective arm-and-hand sleeves; and either a scarf that serves as a mask and hood, or a separate hood and mask. An obi belt to indicate the wearer%26#039;s level of kyu or dan grade may also be worn. The outfit is made of strong, dark-coloured fabric, usually black cotton, fitted loosely to allow freedom of movement. The jacket usually contains an interior shuriken pocket.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no evidence that the ninjas limited themselves to dressing in all-black suits in Japanese feudal times. The classic black ninja outfit (the shinobi shozoku) is said to have derived from Bunraku (not noh theatre).

During Japanese feudal times, for night attacks Shinobi Shozoku clothing (as dictated by the situation, preference or availability) could be dark green, dark blue or dark red, depending on which offered better night camouflage with its surroundings.|||Have you asked your instructor yet? This is why he is %26quot;the last.%26quot; He has undoubtedly spread his teachings across the globe but I have to question whether he will transmit the other teachings, the ones he has removed from the standard Bujinkan system, to a sucessor. Which is most of the time has something to do with your joint in the neck and how to snap them off, or hurt just the nerves in the joint which all it does is makes the opponent pass out.

PS: If you%26#039;re going to some Ninjutsu school in America, becareful. Most of the time, it%26#039;s B.S. and doesn%26#039;t really contain that much moves used in real Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is a grappling martial art which basically means throws, blocks, brawling about on the ground and chokes, but dont let hat scare you this is all very safe and its pretty good ofr self defensetoo. TKD is a striking MA which mean kicking punching, blocking and using your hands and feet, TKD is alot about showing off in a sense like breaking wooden blocks like you see on T.V. If you prefer striking to grappling(most people choose striking if they are a slight build) pick TKD or if its available to you karate, muay thai or tang soo do wich are all very similar to TKD but they help you more in a fight situation. I cant gaurantee an accurate estimation but id say 3-5 years for both of them but it if the intructor is good and you work hard and attend all the lessons it could shorten.

You see, I%26#039;m a taekwondo instructor and yes there are things where you perform but taekwondo is an olympic sport in sparring. Soo... yeah. it%26#039;s your choice.|||Tae Kwon Do normally takes less time than Taijutsu/Budo Budokan/Bujinkan/To Shin Do (All the names for it, since Ninjutsu is a misnomer that means everything from horseback ridding, to unarmed fighting) to achieve black belt (Though mastery is 5th degree in both styles).Tae Kwon Do and T/BB/B/TSD both unforutantely have a streak of poor teaching, which is why you have to really watch out, and search pretty well to find a good school. The traditional styles of both are great when taught correctly (And not all of them are for show, or else I wouldn%26#039;t have successfully cracked someones rib with a side kick in a sparring match [Which I%26#039;ve done, and a couple wrists as well], or watched my friends that practice T/BB/B/TSD give someone a nice punch to the armpit, shutting down the nerves.... mmm...temporary fight paralysis...It%26#039;s delicious! :p), and after years of study: You should be proficient in the fighting ranges that are expressed.

The fighting ranges are the really big difference here.

Tae Kwon Do is predominantly a striking art. It sometimes has entry level grappling, but that%26#039;s not always present.

Taijitsu/Budo Budokan/Bujinkan/ To Shin Do has a lot joint locks, joint manipulations, rolls, throws, vital point striking, body part/bone breaking techniques, and more. If you find a good school, you will have more tools to work with (Which isn%26#039;t necessarily better, especially if you don%26#039;t use those tools well). Not to say that this style is more defensive, but most of the moves are sort of reaction-based, by which you wait for your opponent to punch, so you can counter with a spinning dodge, and choke for example. Tae Kwon Do commonly does that with self-defense techniques, but Tae Kwon Do schools that are good will have full contact sparring, which will hone your striking skills overtime. The nature of the other art makes it very hard to truly spar, but it%26#039;s possible (Albeit hard, because you%26#039;re doing moves that aren%26#039;t exactly %26quot;Love-tapping%26quot; :P)

Tae Kwon Do scale usually goes like this:

It will take x number of years to get a black belt. After that, the degree of the belt is the number of years one has to wait in order to even test for the next belt. So, the average master has been in for 15-20 years. I don%26#039;t know about T/BB/B/TSD and this, but I do know that because of the variety of things needed to learn: It takes slightly longer on average.

It%26#039;s really your choice though: Pick what you think will work better for you. Do you like to strike? Wait for an opponent to make a move, and counter powerfully? Ask yourself questions like this, and make sure that with whatever style you take (Whether it%26#039;s these or not): You find a good school.

Good luck.|||Traditional Tae Kwon Do is no joke. It takes years to master, as does any martial art. And it is a very valid and effective system.

I can%26#039;t, in good conscience, give you only the good side. You need to know the whole picture from someone who has experience with the material from both the DVDs/Videos and from outside Van Donk%26#039;s school.

Typically, you can tell one of the home black belt study people. Their movement tends to lack. Shihan Van Donk is... a bit nutty... But a good guy with an honest love for the art. His taijutsu is decent (if you watch him on Daikomyosai videos or at the various Taikai, he sometimes is a little sloppy looking and other times hits you with something that just makes your jaw drop).

The good news about the course is that you get a strong look at what was once considered the core curriculum of the system. So you%26#039;ll have the potential to learn all of that. If you thrive under structure, it may work for you, but only to a very rudimentary level. The bad part is, while things get broken down well, you%26#039;re still really just guessing at how things should feel. You don%26#039;t get those corrections or to feel the way the techniques come alive in the hands of someone skilled.

Consider it in perspective: I%26#039;ve had Shihan tell me that they%26#039;ve just learned how to punch properly, and they%26#039;ve been studying in Japan for 20 years. Nothing in the system is as straight forward or simple as it may seem on videotape. If you%26#039;re really doing BJJ 6 days a week, then you may want to just stick with that. You won%26#039;t get too much out of the DVDs unless you can really spend time and break down the techniques until you%26#039;re sick to death of them.

Good luck. Train hard.|||i find my self in agreement with firecat on this although not all for the same reasons. most of the ninjistu in this country is bs. they make claims to history that never happened and a lot of the instructors take 1 week of classes then start there own dojo.

as for video courses, without a proper instructor to help you it will do little good. and if you want my honest opinion take a real style with an instructor that knows what there doing. and has actuality street fighting experience|||Well Firecat has her opinion thats for sure , The fact that both teachers she mentions are still very alive and do very well and have for a very long time should speak volumes also. Yes hands on training is best, that being said not everyone can get to a school in the style they would like. To the man mentioned RVD is very highly respected with in the Bujinkan and has recieved a 15th Dan (highest rank) from the Soke Hatsumi of the system. His credentials are there the product is good. (I own a complete copy)(I used for reference material but is a complete product well made and organized) The art might or might not be for you, whole forums discuss that.

Good luck |||I happen to know Von Donk and Stephen Hayes .. both of them are morons. Stephen was originally kicked out of his school when he was the equivalent rank of a brown belt and disowned by the governing agency. He, and Von Donk took what little training they actually did have and hitched their wagons to the American Ninja train and went about calling themselves Ninjutsu masters. The truth of the matter is they are both considered nonsense by any of the long established martial arts governing organizations.

In fact, at the time of their claim (to be ninjutsu masters), back in the early 1980%26#039;s, the All Japan Karate Association and the International Martial Arts Federation had only recognized 4, non-Asian, black belt level or better, ninjutsu practitioners in all of North America... To this day, neither Hayes or Von Donk are one of them. Since that time, the list has grown and their names are still not listed.

Plus, the statement, %26quot;ninjutsu master,%26quot; is a misnomer. It is like saying, %26quot;a karate master,%26quot; or %26quot;Kung Fu master.%26quot; Could he be a bit more specific? Yes, these two guys try to convince the general public that Iga and Koga Ryu are the only two forms of ninjutsu still in existence, claiming to be masters in one or the other of them.

Let me guess: Von Donk has a very well developed web site with all sorts of pretty pictures on it and lots of promises and things to buy? Typical Hayes and Von Donk Bullsh**!

Please, do not waste your money, those videos or whatever nonsense he%26#039;s trying to sell you really is no substitute for real hands-on experience.

I have said these things to their face and would not hesitate to say it to them again.

In 1992, at an open MA tournament, Von Donk was there, touting his BS. He and I had a confrontation. Frank Ruiz, the then grandmaster of Nesei Goju Ryu, looked at Donk and simply said, %26quot;Don%26#039;t mess with her, I%26#039;ve known her most of her life. She%26#039;s the real thing and she%26#039;ll clean your clock!%26quot; Personally, I really do not like senseless violence, but I would have been more than happy enough to put him in his place. Looking back, I am very glad Frank stepped in. As maintained as I like to be, this guy was really starting to piss me off!

Please forgive my tone, as these two individuals (Donk and Hayes) are a sore subject for me.
